Virtual currency scam disaster scene: Cross-border scam gang sentenced to 12 years for "investment" deception

Abstract generation in progress

【Blockchain Rhythm】 Recently, I came across a real case that woke me up. A scam gang was using the pretext of inviting people to buy virtual currencies and invest in a designated platform online, targeting overseas users with cross-border scams. The entire process involved virtual currency transactions, aiming to conceal funds in this way. What was the result? The court pursued the case to the end.

This case involved over $900,000 USD, equivalent to more than 5 million RMB. The main scam method was a two-step approach: first, convincing you to buy virtual currency, then guiding you to transfer to their designated “investment platform.” Sounds familiar? Your friends suddenly recommend a certain coin or a “high-yield investment project,” and nine times out of ten, it’s this kind of scheme.

The court’s verdict was very firm— the main defendant was sentenced to 12 years in prison and fined. Most importantly, the court precisely determined the scam amount through objective evidence such as company salary and performance reports, demonstrating that the evidence collection and conviction process for such cases has become very mature.

So a reminder to everyone: any stranger recommending virtual currency investments via chat apps can generally be considered a scam. Genuine investment opportunities won’t actively seek you out like this. If you want to participate in crypto assets, always use reputable platforms, verify the authenticity of projects, and don’t be blinded by “high yields.”

Friends circle pushing coins, be careful now, this time they've been追到底 --- Five million yuan, really daring to play with these people --- It's the same old trick again, I'm just puzzled why some people still fall for it --- Starting price in 2012, it can't be hidden on the blockchain either, the court is very effective --- So, don't touch investment projects that drop pies from the sky --- Cross-border scams can be cracked, I have confidence in the judiciary --- Those high-yield promises really keep me at a distance --- Virtual currencies have indeed become a new tool for scammers, what a pity for this ecosystem --- Five million RMB, how many small investors must have been scammed? --- My friend almost got caught last year, seeing this case really makes me scared

Here we go again with this routine. I keep saying, why are these "investment advisors" so eager... --- My friend almost got scammed last year. Luckily, I stopped it in time. Cases like this are increasing. --- Over 5 million yuan. They really dare to do it, and the court is effective. --- It seems it can't escape on the blockchain either. All the tricks of hiding funds with virtual currencies are useless. --- This scam gang is really meticulous, even dividing it into steps. It's truly disgusting. --- 12 years sentence is good. They should have cracked down on these people earlier. --- Every day, being recommended some coin or high-yield investment. I now just ignore it. --- The court can pursue such details, which shows it's not as "safe" as we think. The crypto circle needs to be vigilant. --- 500,000 yuan in RMB. If it were my money, I would be crying to death. --- Now, everyone on social media is falling for this routine. Learning to recognize people is very important.

Friends really need to be cautious when someone recommends a coin, this scam has been around forever The 2012 verdict was not unjust, no matter how cunning the on-chain transactions are, they can't escape Over 5 million USD, these people really have a big appetite Honestly, only by ruling on these kinds of cases repeatedly can we truly scare those scammers Fortunately, courts now understand blockchain, or this case would have been a mess long ago

Here we go again with the same old trick, seen in social circles every day --- On-chain tracking technology is powerful; trying to use crypto for money laundering is no longer feasible --- Over 5 million RMB, this scam gang is really good at deceiving people --- Oh my, I almost got pulled into that kind of project by a friend before, luckily I didn't act --- 12 years is just the starting point, should serve a few more years --- As expected, the crypto world still requires careful scrutiny; don't follow the crowd blindly --- Accurate evidence collection is great, indicating that the law is catching up with crypto --- These kinds of projects are still running online, be cautious everyone --- This two-step scam method is so classic, how are people still falling for it

I became cautious when friends recommended cryptocurrencies, as the scams are indeed incredibly sophisticated. This combination of virtual currency scams is truly hard to defend against. Over 5 million RMB—these people really have no limits. Courts are追击链上交易, indicating that on-chain transactions are not beyond the reach of the law. Exactly the same as the projects I encountered recommended; luckily, I didn't act impulsively. This 12-year sentence is actually light; if it were me, I would be sentenced to life. It seems I need to remind friends around me to be cautious of those who suddenly talk to you about investments. With such obvious scam methods, why do some people still fall for it? It's time to reflect on our scam prevention awareness. After these cases are solved, will more people realize the risks involved?
