Recently, I have been reading "The Roots of Global Conflict."

A passage from it goes, like people drinking water, only they know if it's cold or warm:

"After World War II, all major conflicts in the world are essentially driven by privileged regimes that fear the impact of another modern civilization system, which could threaten their privileges. As a result, they unite with other privileged regimes worldwide to resist the impact of the entire civilization system in the name of the state. Internally, this manifests as deceiving the public, instilling hatred, rewriting history, blocking information, and covering up crimes. Externally, it shows as smearing opponents, arms races, and initiating wars. All these actions are actually efforts by the powerful to maintain and protect their own interests."

And figures like Gaddafi, Saddam, Assad, Putin***, and others are such privileged regimes.
