That's so true, only surviving to the next round counts as a win. In our circle, there are only dozens or so who die from greed; a single gamble and it's gone. Protecting the principal is easy to talk about but extremely difficult to do. Seeing others make ten times the profit... doesn't it itch in your heart? But indeed, those who can survive a few cycles are mostly tough risk control experts, not much glamorous about it.

That's right, but how many people can really do it? Everyone is just thinking about going all-in to turn things around. Living is the most important thing, there's no doubt about that. If the principal is lost, everything is meaningless. Those who understand this are living quite well. Protecting the principal is more valuable than any technical analysis, I believe in that. Many people lose money because of greed; ultimately, it's a mindset issue. The simple method is the most effective, but unfortunately, most people can't learn it. It drops much faster than it rises; this rule really hits home.
