Recently, I discovered that the overseas version of a leading OTA platform has launched a stablecoin payment feature. Both USDT and USDC are supported, and I tested it directly here in Vietnam — it really works. From placing an order to booking a hotel, the entire process was completed in less than ten minutes.
What does this mean? In the future, when traveling abroad, carrying stablecoins in your wallet might be enough. No more worrying about exchange rates, and no need to exchange currency frequently. Payment confirmation is quick, and funds arrive rapidly.
However, it currently seems to be an exclusive benefit of the overseas version; the domestic version doesn't have this option for now. But this signal is very interesting — it indicates that major platforms are starting to take cryptocurrency payments seriously.
What do you think? If this payment method really becomes widespread, will booking flights, hotels, and renting cars completely change the travel payment experience? Or is it still too early, and full adoption will take some more time?
