BlockBeats Information: On January 8th, Bitwise advisor Jeff Park stated that Morgan Stanley recently announced the launch of a spot Bitcoin ETF. Even if it ultimately doesn’t achieve great success, it will bring “intangible returns” to Morgan Stanley, thereby helping it enhance its influence. Issuing a Bitcoin spot ETF will bring reputation advantages, demonstrating that asset management companies are forward-thinking, young and somewhat avant-garde. Morningstar ETF analyst Bryan Armour added that Morgan Stanley’s sudden entry into the cryptocurrency field may mean it wants to “convert customers investing in Bitcoin to its ETF, so that it can get a quick start even if it enters late.”

Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase are known as the three major global investment banks. Although Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase have already ventured into the cryptocurrency investment field, neither of them has launched their own cryptocurrency ETF.
