Odaily News The Executive Director of the Market Surveillance Division of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, Liang Zhongxian, stated at the 2025 Futures and Options World (FOW) Trading Asia conference that exchanges and financial institutions in the US and Europe are leading innovations in multiple areas of new derivation, including digital assets, ESG-linked derivatives, etc. Nevertheless, the innovation potential of the Asian derivation market is evident, such as the cryptocurrency futures contracts from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, with a high proportion of volume coming from the Asia-Pacific region.
